HONESTY IS A LIFESTYLE
To The Editor: How many times have we heard someone complain of getting ripped off by their auto mechanic? Well, I received an interesting call today – the second day of the new year. It might have been a new year’s resolution to be honest – down to the penny – but I have the feeling this is a common practice at Billy Weber Tire on Mill Street in Vienna. I’d had a new thermostat installed this week and the call was to let me know that they had mistakenly charged my credit card for $3 more than the amount of my invoice. That’s $3 – not $300 or even $30. Would I like them to run a credit through or note it on my account toward my next visit? I was amazed but not surprised, having noticed the byline on their invoices over the years – “Honesty is a lifestyle.” I wanted to take this opportunity to recognize the integrity of a local business, practicing what they preach. – Amy Kunselman, written to the Vienna and Oakton Connection Newspaper
As I was leaving my brother’s house in Vienna on my way home to Delaware, my air conditioning on my 12-year-old Tahoe stopped functioning. My brother, Jim Matthews, said, “Take it over to Billy Weber and see what he can do.” My brother and his whole family have been going to Billy Weber for years and have had nothing but the best service from them. He has always spoken very highly of you. You took my Tahoe in the bay immediately and diagnosed the problem. After ordering parts, you fixed the problem and I was on my way back to Delaware in no time. Nacho was very professional and courteous.
